In 2007, Shilpa co-founded a company in San Francisco called ZETA Communities. They were the first modular manufacturer of zero energy buildings in the country. Since then she has become the Executive Director of the Net-Zero Energy Coalition (NZEC). NZEC is dedicated to accelerating adoption of zero energy buildings and communities, by uniting and engaging the industry. As part of their work, they produce an annual inventory of zero energy residential building. This important report is the only source of information on all of the projects in Canada and the U.S., designed to educate the public on the progress and trends of the zero energy movement.
