This is a photo-driven workshop on real-world failures in the building envelope. You will see documentation of what has failed and how to do it right. Attendees will gain an understanding of several types of cladding and the problems associated with each. We will look at how to identify inadequate installation details and diagnose the subsequent failure of the building envelope. We will discuss application details that meet requirements of manufacturers and building codes. Greater accuracy in identifying potential problems and knowing how to avoid them will reduce potential liability for the homebuilder.
