Optimizing boilers for efficiency and performance

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Modulating boilers throttle back output to gain efficiency by operating at lower temperatures. Though the factory setup will work, the installer should change the data points to meet the heating curve for greater efficiency. Learn how to calculate the heating curve and determine the turn down ratio for sizing by considering the output capacity of the emitters and the outdoor temperature range. We will discuss conditions that compromise system performance, including water quality.
